Our Childrens and Young Peoples Service

Our specialist childrens service supports children between the ages of 8-18 years. We spend time building a positive rapport with your child, with an aim to then equip your child with skills to manage unhelpful thinking, regulate their emotions and make changes in behavioural responses. Skills practised in session with the therapist are then practised in situations where your child has been struggling to allow for positive life changes.

Our specialist Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists will in addition to working with the child, offer to work with the child’s family members so that you can feel confident that you can help your child when they do experience distress.

Our team are able to support children experiencing:

- Anger

- Low Mood

- Confidence Struggles/Low Self Esteem

- Anxiety and Worry

- Panic Attacks

- Trauma Memories

"I wanted to say a huge thank you for supporting my 9 year old son. I appreciate how warm our therapist was, and how quickly she was able to build a positive relationship with my child, my child enjoyed their therapy sessions. I did not think I would see such a change in my childs response to situations where before we would be faced with challenging behaviour. Thank you for supporting not only my child, but working with myself as a parent too, as a team we did it, and its great to see my child thriving"

"My child has been out of school due to anxiety issues, my child has now returned to full time education over a number of weeks, thanks to the practical skills they learnt from your therapists. Thank you for helping us move forward when we felt so stuck trying to manage this alone"
