Rebecca is a Humanistic counsellor utilising integrative and holistic approaches to best help and support individual needs. Rebecca is a member of the British Association of counselling and psychotherapy. In addition to counselling Rebecca also has skills that include mentoring/coaching, mindfulness and solution focused and believes wholeheartedly in being along side a person to help achieve aspirations and goals. Rebecca's experience includes working within organisations and charities and education settings from schools to universities. Specialising in Trauma Informed Practices and Mental health with adults and young people and children.
Rebecca can support with issues around crisis, bereavement, transition and change, addiction, anxiety, depression/low mood, confidence, self esteem and emotional wellbeing and resilience. This can be both long term and short term and on a platform to suit the individual, telephone, video and face to face. The most important aspect is that everybody gets the time, empathy and safe space to explore the aspects of life that matter to them. Genuine warmth, respect, empathy and acceptance is at the heart of counselling sessions and drawing on different modalities to suit the person. Holistic and creative therapy can also be offered to facilitate the therapeutic relationship.
Rebecca strives to see the person compassionately and as a whole and to understand their world as a whole and values this opportunity to do so with people. Humanistic psychology is the foundation of Rebecca's counselling with people where she uses her approachable, uplifting and calming nature to help clients feel at ease and valued for the unique person that they are, helping them feel the potential for all that it is and all that it can be.
