Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

Karen has trained as a person centred counsellor and as an integrative counsellor drawing from systemic counselling, CBT, psychodynamic and humanistic approaches. Karen has experience of working with adults, children and young people with a variety of issues including bereavement, substance misuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-image, life transitions and many more.

 

Karen likes to work creatively and adapts her approach to meet the needs of her clients. Each client is unique and Karen tries to reflect this in her unique approach to each clients situation and the relationship with that client. Karen has experience of working both short term and long term with clients by telephone and online.

 

Karen is a member of the British association for counselling and psychotherapy (BACP) and adheres to their ethical framework.

 

Karen is described as warm and friendly, creating a comfortable environment where people can discuss their experiences.
