What age groups do you provide therapy for?

The Psychotherapy Clinic provides therapy for both adults, and children aged 10+ with parental consent.

 

Do you only offer face to face appointments?

The Psychotherapy Clinic would like to make therapy as accessible as possible for people. If you prefer an alternative to face to face appointments, we do provide Skype, telephone and Instant Messenger (IM) appointments.

 

How long does each session last?

The initial session usually takes place over 60 minutes, giving us sufficient time to start exploring your difficulties together. Treatment sessions are 50 minutes in length.

 

Are your therapists DBS checked?

Certainly, we ensure all of our therapists in our team are DBS checked. You are welcome to request to see a copy of a DBS check if you wish.

 

Do you provide letters, legal documentation?

Letters and legal documentation may be requested. There is a fee for the therapists time to complete the document, the fee is reasonable and can be negotiated with the treating therapist.

 

Do you offer therapy in any other languages?

Yes, we are very fortunate to have a therapist in our team that is able to offer therapy sessions in Punjabi

 

Is there access to either a male or female therapist as I have a preference?

Yes, here at the clinic we have both male and female therapists available to provide support.

 

I have AXA healthcare insurance could I use this to fund therapy sessions?

Emma is registred as a AXA healthcare specialist. To check eligability of your plan in funding CBT sessions please call your Personal Advisory Team. Should you be eligable under your plan, the Team will advise you then on the next steps to take.
